Super Famicom

Super Donkey is an unreleased platformer starring an unnamed proto-Rayman-like aviator/explorer who resembles the main character of Nintendo's earlier game Sky Skipper. Two builds were found, though neither one has any sound or music and the onscreen timer is non-functional in both. Judging by the name and some unused sprites, this might have been a Donkey Kong-related project.
Various elements of Super Donkey would eventually be used in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

An enhanced version of the Superman game for Nintendo 64 which was cancelled due to license expiration. Although both games are related, the PlayStation version was going to have many improvements over the original game and a complete overhaul on the gameplay sequences, focusing on exploration and combat.

A late prototype was found and dumped online.

Dinosaur Planet

Nintendo 64

Dinosaur Planet was a game originally developed by Rare and set to be published by Nintendo, planned for release on the Nintendo 64, but later intended for the Nintendo GameCube instead. It was cancelled in its original form, rebranded and incorporated Star Fox characters, becoming Star Fox Adventures.

A late prototype was found and dumped onto the internet in March, 2021.

Dragon Sword is a third person Hack n' Slash dungeon crawler developed by Team Storm of Interactive Studios and published by MGM Interactive, whom cancelled it before release.

Madou Monogatari Episode II: Carbuncle

This prototype version of Madou Monogatari II was released in Disc Station's 1989 Special Christmas Edition to promote the then-upcoming Madou Monogatari 123, and is thus the first entry in the Madou Monogatari series.

Black Out

Black Out was a cancelled game which would be played using the SNES Mouse. A leaflet about it was included with the Japanese version of Mario Paint.

A prototype (known as Sleep) was found in the Nintendo Gigaleak of 2020. It is a game where you help a sleepwalker traversing obstacles and shooting at projectiles. The game was made to be played using the Super Scope or the SNES Mouse. It has no sound and uses assets similar to those of Super Donkey (another prototype found in the Gigaleak, possibly related to the original Donkey Kong series) and Yoshi's Island.

As a game under the name of Sleep was never announced nor rumored, even though the game was never shown before and having a different name in the dataleak, Black Out and Sleep they are likely to be the same game given the time frame and the use of the SNES Mouse. Both games are also related to Super Scope 15 (a Super Scope compatible cancelled game) in the dataleak.

RiQa

In development by Bits Studios, RiQa was shown at E3 1999 and appeared to be heavily inspired by PlayStation title, Tomb Raider. It was a third-person perspective action and exploration game starring a female protagonist.

The game was only shown once, and then was delayed several times before being dropped, with very few details provided. However, it is believed that Bits Studios later used elements from RiQa in its multiformat 2003 title Rogue Ops.

Some prototype builds were dumped and released onto the internet on April 2024.

Dragon's Heaven

Dragon's Heaven is an incomplete and cancelled fighting game for the Neo-Geo. The game was being developed by Kengo Asai, who had previously worked on Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer and The Last Blade.

Sega Mega Drive/Genesis

This is a very early mode-7 racer based on the Hanna-Barbera cartoon that aired in the late 1960s. The game has a large variety of stages, but there is no collision detection, and the opponent racers are not programmed to stay on the track. It looks like it would have been designed to be a Mario Kart clone, complete with weapons and stage hazards, but none of that has been included in this prototype. There is a near final prototype of the Genesis version of the game, which shares many of the same graphics, notably with the background and cars. The layout of the stages is quite a bit more like Mario Kart in the SNES prototype. Of course, it is entirely possible that the final SNES version would have had the same design as the Genesis version if it was completed.

Pickles is an unreleased 3D adventure-platformer for the Nintendo GameCube featuring a monkey riding a unicycle.

Mr. Tuff

Mr. Tuff is a 2D platform game in development by Sales Curve Interactive (SCI) and presumably set to be published by Ocean in 1994-1995. The game was done by the same people as Super SWIV, and as such, the graphics are incredibly polished. The game was apparently too ambitious, and was never fully complete (although the game engine and graphics certainly indicate that it is close).

The game follows a demolition robot known as Mr. Tuff. After the entire population of earth escapes to the planet Utopia, the army robots take over the world. It is up to Mr. Tuff to save the world for the peaceful domestic robots. The levels involve standard platform action, though there are a few shooter-esce hoverboard levels. Each world is set up into standard levels and a boss level.

Duke Nukem: D-Day, also known as Duke Nukem: Man of Valor, is a canceled third-person shooter video game that was being developed by n-Space for the PlayStation 2. It began development in 1999 and was canceled in 2003.

IMSA World Championship Racing

Panasonic M2

IMSA World Championship Racing is an unreleased sports prototype racing video game that was in development and planned to be published by Studio 3DO on a scheduled fall 1997 release date exclusively for the Panasonic M2. Had it been released before the launch of the console was cancelled, it would have become the first officially licensed title by the International Motor Sports Association and one of the first titles to be launched alongside the system.
