Zombie Studios was an independent American game developer based in Seattle, Washington, founded by Joanna Alexander and Mark Long, formerly of the Sarnoff Research Center.

Originally founded as Zombie LLC in 1994, the company renamed to Zombie Inc. in 1998, then again to Zombie Studios Inc. in 2004.

Zombie Studios was shuttered in January 2015 after its founders retired. A successor studio consisting of former Zombie Studios members was founded shortly afterward. The new company, originally named Builder Box Games and now named Hardsuit Labs, now holds some of Zombie Studios' IPs.

The GT Interactive Software Corporation (GTI) was founded in February 1993 as a division of GoodTimes Home Video, a video-tape distributor owned by the Cayre family, with Ron Chaimowitz as co-founder and president. That same year the publisher saw the release of their first shareware title, the hugely popular Doom. In its first year, revenue reached $10.3 million. GT was the first publisher to allow developers to retain their Intellectual Property.

It was bought by Infogrames Entertainment and subsequentially renamed to Infogrames, Inc. on May, 2000.

Famous for its art design by Aidan Hughes of KMFDM album-cover fame, ZPC is a first person shooter using the Marathon 2 engine. The plot of the game involves the player, a messiah-like figure, bringing down a totalitarian dictatorship.
