The second version of the Mega Drive Mini, released in Japan on 27 October 2022. This new iteration will include 50 games, some of them being Mega CD titles. This is the Japanese version of the mini console.

SNK Corporation (株式会社SNK, Kabushiki-gaisha Esu Enu Kē)[7] is a Japanese video game hardware and software company. It is the successor to the company Shin Nihon Kikaku and presently owns the SNK video game brand and the Neo Geo video game platform, and electronics.

SNK is known for its creation of the Neo Geo family of arcade, home, and handheld game consoles in 1990. The Neo Geo line was halted in 2001 because financial troubles forced SNK Corporation to close in the same year. Anticipating the end of the company, Kawasaki established Playmore Corporation in 2001, which acquired all of the intellectual property of the first iteration of SNK Corporation. In 2003, Playmore Corporation was renamed to SNK Playmore Corporation. In 2016, SNK dropped the name Playmore from its logo and reintroduced its old slogan, "The Future Is Now", officially changing its corporate name back to SNK.

Founded in 1988, Visual Concepts is the developer behind the 2K Sports games and the dominating success of the NBA 2K franchise. The Visual Concepts team is devoted and ambitious, never content to stop searching for new ways to improve the gaming experience and to develop advanced techniques and methods of producing cutting edge entertainment. It is through this determination and love of both sports and video games that Visual Concepts has fostered NBA 2K from its creation in 2000 to present day, ensuring each annual release is innovative and improved. Full Release

One or two players (in hot-seat or cooperative mode) control a spaceship equipped with a laser cannon which can be charged (by holding the shooting button down) for a stronger blast. Besides the main weapon, three special weapons are available: a wall of fire which wipes the screen up in a wave, a nova-like blast and a circle of spherical-green homing missiles.
