Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception

Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception is a grand tale that will enchant the hearts and minds of players as it takes them on an incredible journey. With a beautiful visual novel story experience, intriguing characters, fast-paced SRPG combat, world-class soundtrack and more. The game begins atop a snowy mountain where the protagonist awakens in an unfamiliar wilderness, surrounded by deadly creatures, with nothing but a hospital gown and a splitting headache. However, he's rescued by a beautiful girl named Kuon, who sports both adorable animal ears and a beastlike tail. Finding that the hapless man has no memory of anything, Kuon decides to take the amnesiac into her care, naming him Haku.

Utawarerumono

Hakuoro, a man who wakes up in a tiny backwoods village near the mountains with heavy injuries, no memory, and a mask he cannot remove. After being nursed back to health by Eruruw, the girl who found him lying at the point of death in the forest, he starts to view the village as his new home. But when an oppressive ruler threatens the peaceful life of Hakuoro and his newfound friends and family, they find themselves hurtled towards war, chaos, and a destiny far greater than any of them imagined.

Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth

The epic story of Utawarerumono comes to an end in Mask of Truth, as the fate of the world will be determined by warring nations. The game features exciting SRPG battles, a colorful cast of new/familiar faces that will determine the fate of their world, a rousing original soundtrack, and the dramatic conclusion to the journey of Haku. After the events of Mask of Deception, Haku is destined to rally the nation of Ennakamuy to fight against the evil forces that now control the Yamato throne.

Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen

A remake of the first Utawarerumono title featuring remastered artwork and battle sections are now in 3D. Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen is the first chapter of a tale years in the making. A man with no memories awakens in a strange world, and is taken in by a tribe of kindhearted beastfolk. He is raised as one of their own, eventually earning the name “Hakuowlo.” When neighboring nations begin to encroach on his homeland, Hakuowlo rises up against the tyrannical invaders, setting himself on an unforgettable journey that lives on in the songs of legend.

Utawarerumono: Zan

Unveil a lost legend in a new light with Utawarerumono: ZAN! This action-packed brawler is a reimagination of the story of Haku, a man with no memories, and the great conflict that consumes the land he calls home. Take control of over 12 legendary heroes from the world of Utawarerumono, and utilize their unique strengths and abilities to engage hordes of enemies in ferocious melee combat. Venture through dynamic battlefields, unleash devastating special moves, and experience a grand tale of war and destiny.

Utawarerumono: ZAN 2

Utawarerumono: ZAN 2 is a 3D Action RPG playstyle based on Utawarerumono: The Mask of Deception. Introducing new scenarios, the main story, "Hakuoro Arena," is based on Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth and told in a "military chronicle" style. You can play either solo or coop (up to four players online). This mode features exclusive enemies, maps, and more.

A mobile spin-off featuring over 20 characters from though out the main series.
It uses an auto-battle system with active gauges to trigger attacks from the 5 characters on a team during a battle.

Although the game is not canon, it will explore some of the series lore.

Nippon Ichi Software was founded in September 1991 in Gifu Prefecture, Japan, as an entertainment software company. It was relocated and reincorporated on July 12, 1993. Since then Nippon Ichi Software, Inc. has grown into an international company focused on creating video game products across modern console platforms. NIS America, Inc. subsidiary of Nippon Ichi Software, Inc. of Japan, established its North American operations on December 24, 2003. Based in Santa Ana, California, NIS America, Inc. handles operations including localization, marketing, and publishing of Nippon Ichi titles. The first game to be released in North America by NIS America was Phantom Brave.

NIS America was the result of the company's wish to focus on international publication of their works in the U.S., given the increased popularity of their titles. Prior to the creation of this subsidiary, NIS software titles that appeared in the U.S. were localized and distributed by outside publishers. Notable examples would be Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, published in North America by Atlus and in Europe by Koei, La Pucelle, published in North America by Mastiff Inc, and Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure which was also published in North America by Atlus.
