Super Monkey Ball 2 Pack is a compilation for the Nintendo GameCube, consisting of the Player's Choice versions of Super Monkey Ball and Super Monkey Ball 2.

Super Monkey Ball

Super Monkey Ball is a 2001 platform party video game developed by Amusement Vision and published by Sega. The game debuted in Japan at the 2001 Amusement Operators Union trade show as Monkey Ball, an arcade cabinet running on Sega's NAOMI hardware and controlled with a distinctive banana-shaped analog stick. Due to the failure of Sega's Dreamcast home console and the company's subsequent restructuring, an enhanced port dubbed Super Monkey Ball was released as a launch title for the GameCube in late 2001, garnering interest as Sega's first game published for a Nintendo home console.

Conceived by Amusement Vision head Toshihiro Nagoshi, Super Monkey Ball involves guiding a transparent ball containing one of four monkeys—AiAi, MeeMee, Baby, and GonGon—across a series of maze-like platforms. The player must reach the goal without falling off or letting the timer reach zero to advance to the next stage. There are also several multiplayer modes: independent minigames as well as extensions of the main single-player game.

Super Monkey Ball 2

The objective of Super Monkey Ball 2 is to guide a monkey trapped inside a plastic ball through a maze to the goal. There are three variations, story mode, challenge mode, and practice mode. In story mode you have an unlimited number of tries to complete a stage, and after clearing 10 stages a movie clip is shown followed by a new world of 10 stages. In challenge mode, you have a limited number of monkeys and a time limit to complete numerous levels of increasing difficulty. In practice mode, you can play any stage already completed in the other two modes.

In addition to the main game options, numerous party games are also included. These are monkey race, monkey fight, monkey target, monkey billiards, monkey bowling, monkey golf, monkey boat, monkey shot, monkey dogfight, monkey soccer, monkey baseball, and monkey tennis. The party games can be played by one to four players.

Super Monkey Ball Deluxe

This game is basically a fusion of Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 for the PS2 and XBox. All of the levels from those two games are available in this collection, and all of the minigames are already unlocked and included. Formerly only available to GameCube players, the Super Monkey Ball series has made it to the PS2 and Xbox after a wait of almost 3 and a half years.

The game itself plays very much like the old arcade game Marble Madness. You control a monkey in a ball, and you have to navigate it through many perilous labyrinths to the finish. In the previous two games you had limited lives/tries, but here you have infinite lives, which makes it all the easier.

Super Monkey Ball Adventure

Our four heroes from Super Monkey Ball - Aiai, Meemee, Baby and Gongon - were enjoying a typical day, when they saw a flying machine crash down on a nearby island. Soon, they discovered that the mysterious Naysayers have appeared, spreading discord and unhappiness all over the island. And to top it all off, the prince and princess of the neighboring islands have gone missing on Jungle Island - if they aren't found and returned, there's sure to be trouble! Can our heroes restore order to Monearth?

Super Monkey Ball Adventure takes the monkey rolling madness of the previous games and puts a story-based spin on it. Choosing from one of the four monkeys, Players roll their way around the various islands of Monearth, talking to citizens and performing the tasks they request (such as delivering sandwiches, finding a missing baby, rescuing rare flowers, and more) to cheer them up.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz

The single-player puzzle levels in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz have been designed to challenge gamers' skills like never before. For the first time in the Super Monkey Ball franchise, AiAi and his friends have the ability to jump when players flick the Nintendo Wii controller in an upward motion. The ability to jump has given game designers another dimension in which to expand the Super Monkey Ball gameplay experience and allows gamers a whole new way to interact with the franchise; this time in true three-dimensional fashion. The Party Games return with more variety than ever. An abundance of new Party Games have been designed to take advantage of the Wii controller in a multitude of ways. Gamers find themselves competing in a traditional game of ring toss, or even smacking pesky moles in a game of "Whack-a-Mole."

Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll

Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll, like the previous Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, is a fun ball-rolling design with a nice stack of challenges and a hit-or-miss pile of mini-games. There are some neat inclusions like the Super Mario Galaxy-like co-op mode where other players can shoot obstacles out of the players’ way. The added balance board support wasn’t that much of a selling point for me – on paper it sounds like a match made in heaven but in practice it’s just a great big load of frustration. Skip the balance board support and you’ll have a good time.

Super Monkey Ball Jr.

The goal of the game is to maneuver a monkey trapped in a ball by tilting the labyrinth and reaching the goal at the end of the maze.

Like many other games of Super Monkey Ball series, the player has the option to choose Aiai, Meemee and Gongon. In multiplayer, two to four people can pick the same character.

Super Monkey Ball (N-Gage) is a port of the original Super Monkey Ball for the Nokia N-Gage system. It features Challenge Mode, Practice Mode, and Party Games.

Super Monkey Ball Gaiden

Super Monkey Ball Gaiden is a level pack for Super Monkey Ball 2 created by Cutsman. The pack would be critically acclaimed, with Cutsman becoming a level designer for the game Rolled Out! as a result. Super Monkey Ball Gaiden is best known for having extremely tough and long levels, and only a handful of people have beaten the Master difficulty.

Bad-Boon Strikes Back

Bad-Boon Strikes Back is a custom level pack for Super Monkey Ball 2 created by KartingKoopa. It contains 60 levels populating familiar and brand new environments. Within the custom level scene it is widely regarded as a great entry point for newcomers.

Super Monkey Ball Stardust is a modification of Super Monkey Ball 2 for the Nintendo GameCube. It adds 100 new levels aimed for hardcore fans of the Monkey Ball series, made to test intimate knowledge of the game.

Sonic Riders

Sonic Riders is the fourth racing game in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, preceded by Sonic Drift, Sonic Drift 2 and Sonic R.

The game was released to start off the 15th anniversary of the release of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. For a short while, the Microsoft Xbox version of the game was released with a free Sonic X DVD. This game introduces five new playable characters, the Babylon Rogues and the E-10000 series. A sequel to Sonic Riders, entitled Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, was released in 2008 for the Wii and PlayStation 2, followed by the Kinect-required game Sonic Free Riders for the Xbox 360 in 2010. This was the last Sonic the Hedgehog game for the GameCube and Microsoft Xbox.
