Video Olympics

Video Olympics a collection of games from Atari's popular arcade Pong series is one of the nine 2600 launch titles. The games are a collection of "bat and ball" style games, including several previously released by Atari as coin-ops in the early 1970s. The games are played using the 2600s paddle controllers and are for one to four players (three or four players requires a second set of paddle controllers).

Each of the 10 main games have several variations to count the total of 50 games.

Pong

Pong is a table tennis-themed twitch arcade video game with simple two-dimensional graphics. It was the first sports arcade video game and one of the earliest arcade video games in history, helping to establish the video game industry along with the Magnavox Odyssey. Soon after its release, several companies began producing games that closely mimicked its gameplay.

Pong: The Next Level

The classic videogame Pong is getting a 32-bit update. Players control a long, flat rectangular rod and maneuver it up and down the screen to defend their goal. The opponent is trying to direct the ball past you and into your goal the player who reaches the level's preset point total first wins the match. There are six zones filled with all kinds of Pong challenges, each with three distinct and increasingly difficult variations on that level. Most one-on-one games also include power-ups that you can collect, which will benefit you in some fashion against your opponent.

Qwak!

Qwak! is a duck hunting light gun shooter arcade video game developed by Atari and released in 1974.

In the game, ducks fly one at a time across the screen, and the player shoots at them using a light gun attached to the game cabinet. The player gets three shots per duck; ducks change direction away from missed shots and fall to the bottom of the screen when hit. A screen overlay adds images of reeds and a tree branch, and an image of a duck is added to a row at the top of the screen whenever a duck is hit. Games continue until a time limit, set by the machine operator, is reached.

Qwak! is most likely the inspiration for the 1984 Nintendo Entertainment System light gun game Duck Hunt.

Rebound

Rebound is a 2 player arcade game that simulates a volleyball match by having players volley a ball back and forth over a net with their paddles.

Pong Doubles

A follow-up to the original Pong, Pong Doubles is essentially a four-player version of the original. Two players stand on each side of the dividing line, one in front, the other behind. Each pair must work as a team against the other pair. Aside from this, nothing else has changed except the fact that there are now four paddles.

Winner of the Pong 40th anniversary contest to have a new interpretation of Pong published as an official game by Atari.

The original Atari, Inc., founded in Sunnyvale, California, in 1972 by Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney, was a pioneer in arcade games, home video game consoles, and home computers. The company's products, such as Pong and the Atari 2600, helped define the electronic entertainment industry from the 1970s to the mid-1980s.

Negotiating until close to midnight on July 1, 1984, Jack Tramiel purchased the home computing and game console divisions of Atari for $240 million in promissory notes and stocks. Warner gained a 20% stake in Tramel Technologies, which was renamed Atari Corporation. Warner retained the arcade division, continuing it under the name Atari Games, but sold it to Namco in 1985. Warner also sold the Ataritel division to Mitsubishi.
