Sega Ages 2500 Vol. 21: SDI & Quartet - Sega System 16 Collection

As the name suggests, this game is a compilation which includes the Sega System 16 and Sega Master System (both Japan and worldwide) versions of SDI: Strategic Defense Initiative and Quartet. In the case of SDI, this marks the first time the game has been brought to the home with the correct dual-joystick control scheme.

Arcade Gamer

The Arcade Gamer, also known as the Poga and as the Master System Portátil in Brazil, is a Sega Master System and Sega Game Gear console on a chip manufactured by AtGames.

The Arcade Gamer has been distributed by several companies under different names and colour schemes, in both 20 and 30 game variants. All share the same plastic shell - a controller (also seen with the Mega Drive Twin Pads) with an extra C button, despite no Master System or Game Gear games ever making use of it. The same shell was used for the Mega Drive-based Arcade Gamer Classic.

Arcade Gamer Portable

The Arcade Gamer Portable, also known as the AtGames Gear, is a Sega Master System and Sega Game Gear console on a chip. It was manufactured by AtGames, though has been distributed across the world by various companies, including Blaze Europe as the BlazeGear, and Tectoy as the Master System Portátil.

The console contains 30 built-in Sega Game Gear and Master System games and allows extra games to be played via the SD card slot. It uses emulation software to run the games, and does not have a traditional cartridge slot. It can also be connected to a television to play the games on a large screen instead of the built-in LCD screen, however it will only output a PAL signal.

Master System 3

The Master System 3 is a console released by Tectoy exclusively in Brazil in 2008. It is a continuation of the long-running Sega Master System line seen in the country, succeeding the line of "Master System 3 Collection" consoles (which in turn followed the "Master System III Compact"). Like the last two models of its predecessor, this Master System 3 lacks a cartridge slot, relying solely on built-in games. It has a shorter name and also opts for a radically changed design over previous consoles, presumed to be unique to Tectoy products.

Internally, it is likely the same as the Master System 3 Collection with 131 games, since they have the same menu saying "Master System 3 Collection 131 Super Jogos" and share the same list of games.

The Master System 3 comes with 131 built-in games (or so it claims), the same number as the last Master System 3 Collection console to be released. It also comes with two Sega Mega Drive-style six button control pads which plug into two DE-9 ports, although most of the buttons on the pads are redundant as the console has no built-in Mega Drive games.

In order to count 131 games, Pense Bem counts as 10 and 20 em 1 counts as 20 games.

Sega Astro City Mini

The Astro City Mini is a functional miniature version of the full-sized arcade cabinet that goes by the same name, and it includes 37 playable games.

The Mini features a built-in LCD screen, but if you’re interested in the bigger picture, it also includes an HDMI-out port, a headphone jack, and two USB-A ports.

While owned by CSK, Sega Enterprises established an American subsidiary still in operation. Sega Enterprises would change its name to Sega Corporation on November 1, 2000.

A platform shoot-em-up hybrid from Sega for one to four players, selected from either Joe (yellow), Mary (red), Lee (blue) and Edgar (green). The action takes place over a number of sideways scrolling levels, the bulk of which consist of straightforward platform action. On some levels, however, there are jet packs for the players to collect, and the gameplay's emphasis switched to that of a standard, sideways scrolling shoot-em-up.

The object of the game is to destroy an army of robots that have taken over an Earth colony satellite station. Each level has a boss character that must be destroyed. Upon its death it releases a door key that must be used to exit the level. Weapon and character power-ups can be collected to aid players in their task.

Due to its potential for four-player shoot-em-up gameplay, Quartet's gameplay feels vaguely similar to (though by no means as accomplished as) Atari's 1985 classic, "Gauntlet".
