Lucasfilm Games was founded in May 1982 by George Lucas as Lucasfilm Games, the video game development group of his film company, Lucasfilm. Lucas initially served as the company's chairman.

During a 1990 reorganization of Lucas companies, the Lucasfilm Games division was renamed LucasArts.

Kixx was a budget price label of the publisher U.S. Gold, until U.S. Gold got acquired by Eidos Interactive, resulting in the discontinuation of the U.S. Gold brand.

U.S. Gold was a British computer and video game publisher and developer from the early 1980s through the mid-1990s, producing numerous titles on a variety of 8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit platforms.

The group was acquired by Eidos Interactive in April 1996, discontinuing th U.S Gold brand.

Night Shift is a unique action game where the hero is a worker in a factory owned by Industrial Might and Logic (a parody of Industrial Light and Magic). Your character ensures that the factory is working properly as it cranks out Star Wars action figures, including those of stormtroopers and Darth Vader. The object of the game is to always ensure the factory is working properly, and to move in an increasingly better home.
