Never Alone: Kisima Ingitchuna

Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna) is an atmospheric puzzle platformer and the first game to be developed in collaboration with the Iñupiat, an Alaska Native people, drawn from a traditional story that has been shared across the generations. Nearly 40 Alaska Native elders, storytellers and community members contributed to the development of the game.

It features two characters, and it can be played in single-player mode or play cooperatively with a friend as you trek through frozen tundra, leap across treacherous ice floes, swim through underwater caverns and face enemies both strange and familiar.

You'll explore awe-inspiring environments, perform heroic deeds and meet legendary characters from Iñupiaq stories — all narrated by a master storyteller in the spoken Iñupiaq language.

Never Alone: Foxtales

Spring has come to the Arctic and Nuna and Fox return in Never Alone: Foxtales -- the first expansion to 2014’s award-winning indie hit Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna).

Foxtales features three all new levels full of environments to explore, puzzles to solve and enemies to face. Developed in partnership with the Alaska Native community, Foxtales reminds us that some challenges are best faced together and that even the smallest among us deserve respect.

Features
-Take to the seas -- Climb aboard your umiaq (a sealskin canoe) and take to the waters of the coasts, rivers and lakes of Northwest Alaska. Paddle through waves, ice floes and rapids or dive underwater and journey across the sea floor, inside mysterious caverns and through a sunken village.

-Seek the help of the spirits and your companion -- Discover spirit helpers who can change the course of currents at your command. Switch between Nuna and Fox in single player mode or play with a friend in local co-op mode.

-Explore Alaska Native culture -- Foxtales includes five new unlockable Cultural Insight videos featuring members of the Alaska Native community including the family of Willie Panik Goodwin, Sr., the storyteller whose tale of “The Two Coastal Brothers” inspired the game.

Never Alone 2

Discover a world of fierce, frozen beauty in Never Alone 2, the upcoming 3D sequel to the BAFTA award-winning adventure drawn from the Iñupiaq storytelling tradition. Journey through the breathtaking Alaska wilderness as Nuna and Fox, her spirit companion, along the way unearthing an epic mystery that threatens your entire community.

Never Alone 2 is being developed using an Inclusive Development process with the Alaska Native community. It tells an original story from an award-winning Iñupiaq writer and draws from tradition and stories that have been shared across generations. Designed to be played co-op (online and couch), Never Alone 2 invites you to explore environments ranging from the harsh frozen tundra to forest valleys filled with ancient willows as you traverse beautifully realized landscapes that are filled with wonder. Together you will work to navigate these wilds, forge connections with the spirits, and experience how the Alaska Native people have survived and thrived for over 10,000 years in one of the harshest and most breathtaking parts of the world.
