Hudson Soft Co., Ltd. was a Japanese video game company known for releasing numerous titles across video game consoles, home computers, and mobile phones. Headquartered in the Midtown Tower in Tokyo, it also maintained an office in the Hudson Building in Sapporo. Founded on May 18, 1973, Hudson initially focused on personal computer products before expanding into video game development, publishing, peripherals, and music production.

Hudson Soft became a publicly traded company in 2000. In 2005, Konami acquired a 55% controlling stake in Hudson, later purchasing the company outright on April 1, 2011. On March 1, 2012, Hudson merged with Konami Digital Entertainment, which retains its game catalog and periodically re-releases Hudson's classic titles.

Founded by Fusajiro Yamauchi, it first produced handmade hanafuda cards and also tried several small niche businesses such as a cab company and a love hotel. Nintendo developed into a video game company, becoming one of the most influential in the industry and Japan's third most valuable listed company. The name Nintendo translated from Japanese to English means "Leave luck to Heaven".

During a span of many years, the company produced a large amount of popular games and game franchises in different genres, including Metal Gear, Contra, Frogger, Castlevania, Silent Hill, Suikoden, and more. Many of Konami's products have received prestigious awards in the industry for innovation, quality and sales.

Binary Land is a puzzle video game developed by Hudson Soft in 1983 for the MSX, FM-7, NEC PC-6001, NEC PC-8801, and in 1985 for the Famicom. The MSX version saw release in Japan by Kuma Computers Ltd in 1984.
While the Famicom version has a grand total of 99 levels; there is no ending screen implemented in the game.
