Playtronic (Playtronic Industrial) was a joint-venture between Brazilian companies Gradiente and Estrela. It was responsible for manufacturing and distributing games for Nintendo consoles in Brazil.

Sammy USA Corporation (SUSA), established in April 1988 under the corporate name of American Sammy Corporation in the state of California, is a subsidiary of Sammy Corporation of Tokyo, Japan. Sammy Corporation is one of the largest manufacturers of pachinko and pachinko slot machines. Together, the companies have pledged to provide solid entertainment products with priority given to game development and further growth of the company.

On December 1, 1992 the corporation relocated to Elk Grove Village and was reincorporated in the State of Illinois on March 8, 1996.

In March 2001 the company decided to expand its sales base by establishing a subsidiary in the United Kingdom, Sammy Europe Ltd., to concentrate on the vast European market.

Aicom was a Japanese video game developer, founded in 1988. The Sammy Corporation website gives 1990 as its first year and says it was a subsidiary of Jaleco. Sammy bought it in 1992.

Its games include The Mafat Conspiracy, Totally Rad and Vice: Project Doom on the Nintendo Entertainment System, Blaster Master Boy for the Game Boy and Pulstar for Neo Geo.

Aicom broke off from Sammy in 1996 and, with funding from SNK, became Yumekobo, producing games mainly for SNK systems.

Sammy Corporation is a Japanese developer and retailer of pachinko and pachislot machines, headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo. Its South Korean office, Sammy Amusement Service, is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. Sammy is a subsidiary of the entertainment conglomerate Sega Sammy Holdings.

Sammy was founded as Sammy Industry on November 1, 1975 as a spin-off of the arcade division of Satomi Corporation. The company primarily dealt with slot machines and arcade cabinets in Japan. Sammy expanded into video game development in the 1990s with games such as Viewpoint, Survival Arts, and The Rumble Fish. Sammy largely abandoned the video game industry by the late 1990s to focus on its pachinko and arcade management operations. In 2004, Sammy merged with video game developer and publisher Sega to form Sega Sammy Holdings.

Vice: Project Doom is a game that features side-scrolling platform sequences, overhead driving modes and rail-shooter stages. In driving stages Hart's vehicle can accelerate or slow down and fire his weapon straight ahead. During side-scrolling sequences, Hart can jump, duck, climb or use his selected weapon. Weapons that can be selected include a Katana sword, a pistol and a grenade-type weapon. These weapons feature limited ammunition with the exception of the katana. Power-ups include ammunition, coins, and health. In rail-shooting stages, similar to Operation Wolf, Hart can shoot enemies with his gun or throw grenades and pick up items by shooting at them.
