Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind

Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind, known as Bubsy for short, is a platform video game released by Accolade in the early 1990s. It is the first game in the Bubsy series of video games. The game's name is a play on words in reference to Close Encounters of the Third Kind, with the game revolving around Bubsy defending the planet's supply of yarnballs from alien invaders. The game received a sequel, Bubsy 2, in 1994.

Bubsy in Fractured Furry Tales

Bubsy in: Fractured Furry Tales was released December 15, 1994 for the Atari Jaguar. This title sets Bubsy traversing across various fairy tales. The game sees Bubsy taking on the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland, the Giant in Jack and the Beanstalk, the Djinni in Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves, a sea monster in Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and Hansel and Gretel in Candyland. The game plays similarly to the prior two games in the series, but without any of the gadgets or band-aids of Bubsy 2.

Bubsy 3D

Bubsy 3D is the fourth Bubsy game to date, and the first title in 3D; the game was released in 1996 for the PlayStation video game console. It is a sequel to the original in terms of the story and takes place on the Woolies' home planet, Rayon. Bubsy 3D has 16 main levels and two boss levels and the main character's goal is to defeat the two queens of Rayon, Poly and Esther. The player can collect rockets, as well as atoms, in order to eventually escape from planet Rayon. The graphics are very simplistic, even for their time, with a dense fog that covers entire levels throughout the game. Bubsy actively speaks throughout the game based on various actions performed by the player. Planned releases for the Sega 32X and Sega Saturn were cancelled.
Bubsy 3D was panned by both critics due to its confusing control schemes and camera angles. It was featured on Seanbaby's EGM Crapstravaganza: The 20 Worst Games of All Time list as well as in eighth place on GameTrailers' 2006 Top 10 Best and Worst Games list, where it was described as "a terrible, terrible clone".

Bubsy Two-Fur

Many thought Bubsy was lost to a legacy of shame obscurity after his cat-astrophic venture into 3-D, but he’s been given a new shot at video-game stardom with his first release of this meowllenium: The Bubsy Two-Fur!

Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back

"Bubsy the Woolies Strike Back! is an all new Bubsy adventure featuring Bubsy in a bevy of exotic locations as he travels the planet looking for the beloved Golden Fleece.

Bubsy must use all of his classic moves and a few new ones to dodge and out bobcat a battalion of Woolies, not mention the gnarliest UFO bosses to ever grace a Bubsy adventure.

The wisecracking lynx also adds over a 100 new one liners to his lexicon to keep fans guessing what he’ll say next."

Super Bubsy

In this version of "Bubsy In: Claws Encounter of the Furred Kind" for Windows 95 the graphics have been redrawn for a higher resolution, new game elements and as well as the entire Bubsy television pilot has been added. In addition to the power-ups found in the original game, there are bouncing TVs that Bubsy can collect which allows the player to view more of the cartoon.
