Striker is a Sports game, developed by Rage Software.

Striker '96

This game is the 1996's edition of the Striker football series from Rage Software and the first one in the Playstation One console.

Graphics combine a 3D pitch with 2D player sprites. The game includes multiple camera angles as well as different weather effects. You can modify any team's roster, select basic formations, time limits, difficulty, etc.

Select from 41 international teams and take part in either friendly games, league, or cup tournaments. Also included is a 6 on 6 indoor mode, and multiplayer support for up to 4 players using Gravis's GrIP system or through a network.

Striker Pro 2000

Striker Pro 2000 features nine mode of play, including Knockout, Super Trophy, and International Cup. Training modes are here as well allowing users to take part in soccer drills and win access to secret competitions and modes. There are 130 teams to choose from and they can be edited in areas like player names and sock color. Players can perform all of the moves that real soccer players can too, such as bicycle kicks, diving headers, sliding shots, and tackles.

Striker: World Cup Special

World Cup Tournament action with teams from 24 countries. You can do pass, trap, sliding tackle and more as a player. Six parameters for each player give them realistic character.

French port of World Soccer '94: Road to Glory, which in turn is a port of Striker. It is endorsed by Eric Cantona.

The players are drawn large and there is a large scanner to assist with long passing. The standard mode has the ball sticking closely to the feet, which makes mazy runs upfield a common strategy. There are 64 international teams on offer, with a European-style knock-out cup competition included. Many different formations and strategies are offered.

Rage Software or Rage Games or FX Digital Network was a British video game developer. Formed in Liverpool in 1992, its games were marked by an emphasis on graphical effects with arcade gameplay.

Rage's first title Striker sold more than one million copies throughout its two-year life cycle and established Rage as a major creative force in the interactive entertainment industry. The company went through rapid expansion in the 1990s and partnered with multiple third party software publishers for distribution of its titles.

Rage Games Limited was floated on the stock exchange in 1996 as Rage Software plc. Rage continued to form commercial partnerships with major publishing houses, including Microsoft, Intel, Dell, Compaq, Nintendo, Sony and Sega, and re-registered as a private company as Rage Software Limited in 1999.

In 2000, Rage began to expand into publishing. However, the costs of publishing and a run of games that did not sell as expected (most notably the David Beckham franchise) eventually led to the company closing in January 2003 due to bankruptcy. At that time, it was one of the oldest game developers in the UK and at its peak had offices in Liverpool, Birmingham, Sheffield, Newcastle, Bristol and Warrington.

Some of the former development staff have formed other game development companies such as Swordfish Studios in Birmingham, Juice Games in Warrington and Venom Games in Newcastle.
