Star Ocean: The Last Hope

Star Ocean: The Last Hope, known as Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope is an action role-playing video game developed by tri-Ace and Square Enix who also published the game, initially only for the Xbox 360, and the fourth installment in the Star Ocean series. Famitsu revealed that the battle system featured four party members, and was more team-oriented. The game also features more of a sci-fi emphasis than past titles with the ability to control your own ship. This ship is quite large, and is able to land on at least 5 planets or other space-based destinations. Players are able to travel through the "star ocean," jumping across planets. The game takes place a few centuries before the original Star Ocean (around S.D. 10, or approximately 2087 AD). The game's plot revolves around Edge and his crew combating a mysterious threat called the "Grigori".

An international version of the game was released by Square Enix as a worldwide PlayStation 3-exclusive on February 9, 2010. Officially known as Star Ocean: The Last Hope International, the game contains both Japanese and English voices as well as new content that is exclusive to the international version of the game.

Star Ocean

The first game from tri-Ace released on the Super Famicon published by Enix. A huge scale role playing game with beautiful graphics and sound that were impossible on the regular Super Famicon, that includes skills, talents, special move system, item creation, private action and full motion active battles.

Star Ocean: The Second Story

The first "Star Ocean" released outside of Japan. It was later re-released on the PSP under the name "Star Ocean: Second Evolution".

Star Ocean: Blue Sphere

Star Ocean: Blue Sphere is a Role-Playing game, developed by Tri-Ace and published by Enix Corporation, which was released in Japan in 2001. It is the direct sequel to Star Ocean: The Second Story.

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time

Released as "Star Ocean 3: Till the End of Time" in 2003 by Enix before they merged with Squaresoft, the game was re-released under the name "Star Ocean: Till the End of Time" as a remastered version by Square Enix in 2004.

Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness

STAR OCEAN, the epic, sci-fi RPG saga that takes players to the stars and beyond, makes its triumphant return with its forthcoming fifth installment in the series. The title is developed by tri-Ace, the celebrated studio behind each of the previous iterations, with character designs by akiman (Akira Yasuda).

Star Ocean: The Last Hope - International

A sci‑fi action RPG mixing real‑time combat with party-driven exploration and character progression. This International edition adds both Japanese and English voice tracks plus exclusive content, such as reworked menu screens and a tweaked battle system.

Star Ocean: First Departure

Star Ocean is a role-playing game that has garnered attention for merging sci-fi and fantasy in its story. It was originally released for the Super Famicom in 1996, followed by "Star Ocean: First Departure", a remake for PlayStation Portable in 2007.

Star Ocean: Anamnesis

Ocean: Anamnesis puts players in the captain's chair as they lead a squad of heroes across the galaxy. They will have the freedom to build endless strategic and iconic teams with returning all-star characters from the STAR OCEAN series, choosing between attackers, sharpshooters, defenders, invokers and healers to assemble a powerful crew. Enhanced mobile-specific controls will have users experience fast-paced real-time combat with gorgeous 3D graphics. For the first time in the series, players will also be able to tackle missions together in a brand-new co-op multiplayer mode.

The Enix Corporation was a company that produced Japanese video games and manga. The company was founded by Yasuhiro Fukushima on September 22, 1975 as Eidansha Boshu Service Center and renamed Enix in 1982. 

The company merged with Square Co. in 2003 to become Square Enix.
