Star Control II

Star Control II, the sequel to the original Star Control, is a space adventure game that features role-playing elements alongside a 2D space ship melee combat system. The player assumes the role of The Captain of a single starship wandering a detailed environment of solar systems, gradually gathering information and resources in order to defeat a mysterious and implacable enemy.

Star Control

Star Control is a science-fiction wargame which pits the forces of The Alliance of Free Stars against those of the predatory Ur-Quan Hierarchy. The game is designed so that you can ease into play, familiarizing yourself with menus, options, and player controls. The Alliance and Hierarchy each possess seven different types of warships. Each vessel has its own maneuvering and firing characteristics, plus a unique special power that you can employ when circumstances dictate.

Mankind is about to be wiped off the face of the galactic map. A savage clutch of alien races called the Ur-Quan Hierachy has become the “evil empire” of the 27th century- ruthlessly invading interstellar neighbors. Humanity is next on their list. Your job is to make sure that they don’t succeed. The entire Alliance of Free Stars battlefleet awaits your orders.

Star Control 3

Since the events in Star Control 2 the Ur-Quan have been pacified and the captain who bravely destroyed the Sa-Matra has had a horrible vision of the future. Suddenly without warning, all Hyperspace travel in the universe has stopped. Top scientists have pinpointed the cause of this disturbance somewhere in unexplored space in an area known as the Kessari Quadrant. Hastily assembling a fleet of ships as and an untested Precusor star drive... a loose alliance of alien races known as The League of Sentient Races sends a task force to the Kessari Quadrant. You are it's commander.

Star Control 3 features a new 3D star map, new alien races to discover, new worlds to explore and colonize, new artifacts to research and a new isometric Hyper Melee battle system for inter-starship battles.

- Radiant Angel: Ship full of beautiful, murderous light.
- Scavenger: Robust ship that pulls enemies in with deadly tractor beams and collects their destroyed ships.
- Xelnathi Conqueror: New ship loaded with Xraki triple lasers and slow bolt casters.
- Trandal Overwhelmer: Scout ship with a triple bolt and destructive phasor.
- Vulzon Galley. Slow, heavy ship that shoots dangerous lines of missiles.
- Shantid Destroyer: Strange looking ship with long-tracking plasma bolts.
- Xraki Horror: Low HP but quick-moving ship, equipped with deadly torpedoes and a black hole mine
