Speed Racer: The Videogame

In Speed Racer, players take on the role of the characters from the film, getting behind the wheels of each character's signature vehicles to experience firsthand the film's high adrenaline, combative racing style. Perform tricks and pull off insane stunts through incredible, twisting stadium tracks, all while fighting against rival racers with incredible Car-Fu action.

Speed Racer in My Most Dangerous Adventures

This game is a take on the classic Anime cartoon series, Speed Racer. You play as Speed, an aspiring race car driver with his trusty car, The Mach 5, along with his GO team, out to travel the world and win every international grand prix on the circuit.

Along the way, you fight off the infamous villains of the series, out to stop Speed by any means necessary, even capturing his girlfriend, Trixie. There are seven levels in all and in between racing levels you'll be on foot in a side-scroll style adventure, fighting off thugs and gangsters, collecting power ups to help you out, including green flags in order to keep your health up (not kidding about that).

Speed Racer in the Challenge of Racer X

Speed Racer in The Challenge of Racer X was a game designed by Accolade. Players compete against Racer X and other drivers in six different courses, either using the Mach Five or the Shooting Star. Players can also purchase and upgrade the Mach 5's special functions to gain advantages over the opponents.

Speed Racer is an arcade type game that resembles the Sega Saturn's Daytona USA. The first track is identical, except for the lack of a pit lane, the Sonic sculpture in a wall and the different sponsor banners. The major difference between the two games is the performance of the car and the fact that the player can use all the gadgets of the anime Mach 5. The gadgets can be used to "shunt" other cars (even with the Cutter, the cars only bounce and there is no damage in the game), take shortcuts (by cutting trees and passing under lakes), etc. The controls are simple and the player switches over the gadgets and the camera views. The player can choose the length of the race in the menu, along basic sound options.

Jaleco Ltd. (株式会社ジャレコ, Kabushiki Kaisha Jareko) was a corporate brand name that was used by two previously connected video game developers and publishers based in Japan. The original Jaleco company was founded in 1974 as Japan Leisure Company, founded by Yoshiaki Kanazawa, before being renamed to simply Jaleco in the early 1980s. This company was later acquired in 2000 by PCCW, who rebranded it as their Japanese game division, PCCW Japan, before reverting it to Jaleco in 2002. In 2006, Jaleco became independent from PCCW and renamed to Jaleco Holding, having their video game operations spun off into a new company, also called Jaleco. This new spin-off company was sold to mobile developer Game Yarou in 2009, with Jaleco Holding renaming itself to Encom Holdings shortly after.

They worked on numerous systems, most notably the Famicom, Super Famicom, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, WonderSwan, Genesis, and PlayStation.
