SimCity

SimCity, later renamed SimCity Classic, is a city-building simulation video game, first released on February 2, 1989, and designed by Will Wright for the Macintosh computer. SimCity was Maxis's second product, which has since been ported into various personal computers and game consoles, and spawned several sequels including SimCity 2000 in 1993, SimCity 3000 in 1999, SimCity 4 in 2003, SimCity DS, SimCity Societies in 2007, and SimCity in 2013. Until the release of The Sims in 2000, the SimCity series was the best-selling line of computer games made by Maxis.

BS SimCity: Machi Tsukuri Taikai

BS SimCity: Machi Tsukuri Taikai (「ＢＳ ＳｉｍＣｉｔｙ 街作り大会」) is a Downloadable 4-part Soundlink game for the Satellaview that ran between August 4, 1996 and January 31, 1998. The game was broadcast in as a rerun at least twice throughout the lifetime of the Satellaview, once in October 1996 and once in January 1998 as the winner of the third Player's Choice vote. BS SimCity is a pseudo-sequel to the original 1991 SimCity for the Super Famicom. There are four characters (Dr. Wright, Yoshio Kanetake, Mr. Roy, and Madam Mary) added. Four different maps are given to player every week, the objective is to develop the city within time the limit. During the game, voice of characters is told and happenings occur simultaneously to all players.

The NES port of SimCity is an unreleased game based on Nintendo's SNES version of SimCity. The game was lost until it was found and dumped onto the internet.

SimCity 64

SimCity 64 is a city-building video game released only in Japan for the Nintendo 64DD, sequel to the SNES version of SimCity. It was the last SimCity game to feature the mayor assistant Mr. Wright.

SimCity (SNES) was originally released in Japan in April 1991, the first console game in the SimCity series, and one of the launch titles for the Super Famicom/Super Nintendo Entertainment System in North America when the console was released there in August the same year. It was developed by Nintendo EAD under license from Maxis and published by Nintendo.
It has some differences from the original game, among them is the presence of an original Nintendo character called "Dr. Wright". There are also unlockables based on Nintendo franchises such as Mario.
