Raiden IV OverKill

Raiden

Raiden consists of eight vertical scrolling missions where the player maneuvers the Raiden craft dodging and destroying enemy robots, buildings, ground targets, and aircraft. There are bombs and missile powerups as well as collectable medals which add to the score. When player dies, the fighter's fragments become projectiles that damage enemies.

After defeating the Stage 8 boss, the mission is completed, and player receives 1 million points for each completed loop. Afterwards, it will start back to Stage 1. This time around, enemies shoot faster and at a more rapid rate.

Raiden IV

Raiden II

Excellent sequel to the classic original "Raiden". As in the original, players control a fighter jet/spaceship through various levels while shooting down other planes and bombing tanks on the ground.

Raiden III

This game is a port of the original Arcade release. It was released only in Japan in 2006 but it also was re-release worldwide in 2014 for digital download on the Steam platform.

Players once again take control of the famous Raiden Supersonic Attack Fighter, red for player 1 and blue for player 2 as usual; there are no selectable ships. Two player mode is enhanced by an exclusive new attack: a beam that is usable whenever one player lines up in front of the other.

In Double play mode, both players share the live and bomb stocks, and without continue. In PlayStation 2, both players can be played from the same controller.

Raiden DX

Vertical scrolling shoot-em-up that adds new features to its prequel Raiden II. Choose from three separate missions: Training special stage, Alpha levels 1-5 and Bravo levels 1-9. Collect various power-ups to increase your weaponry. Lots of secrets and bonuses including ratings based upon player performance

Raiden V

A quarter-century after the arcade hit Raiden first left its mark on the shooting genre, the series now comes to the Xbox One in its most modern and advanced form yet! Join the war for Earth's future, where the tide of battle holds constant surprises, in this game that's easy to learn, but difficult to master. Using Xbox One cloud functionality to its fullest, now all players can easily access their data, allowing you and your comrades-in-arms to enter the fray side-by-side!

Raiden III x Mikado Maniax

This is an enhanced version of the original Raiden III, which came out in 2005 for arcades and consoles. There will be some new game modes, online features, and customization options.

CyberFront Corporation (株式会社サイバーフロント kabushiki gaisha saibaafuronto) was a game development and publishing company for the Sony PlayStation 2, Sony PSP, and PC platforms. The company was founded in 1998 by Shinji Fujiwara and was located in Japan.

Kaga Electronics, Co. Ltd., acquired 51% of the company's shares in April, 2010 and the company became a subsidiary of Kaga Electronics. Kaga Electronics bought the remainder of the shares in March, 2013 and the company became a 100% owned subsidiary of Kaga Electronics.

On December 19, 2013, an official notice of dissolution was released by the company. The notice states that events leading to the dissolution were primary due to "inadequacies in CyberFront's intellectual property rights but that there were also claims that by business partners actually denying etc. the existence of such rights." Additionally, no cooperation was received from the then retired founder, despite requests for assistance.
