Sega Astro City Mini

The Astro City Mini is a functional miniature version of the full-sized arcade cabinet that goes by the same name, and it includes 37 playable games.

The Mini features a built-in LCD screen, but if you’re interested in the bigger picture, it also includes an HDMI-out port, a headphone jack, and two USB-A ports.

Gale Racer

Gale Racer is an illegal race set on a public road, and the main purpose of the game is to cross the United States. Starting in Los Angeles on the West Coast, it travels across state lines to cities such as Las Vegas and Chicago before ending up in New York. There is also an element of competition with enemy cars, and they change places frequently during the race. The screen is fixed in view from the cockpit.

Sega AM Research & Development No. 2, previously known as SEGA-AM2 Co., Ltd., is a video game development team within the Japanese multinational video game developer Sega. Yu Suzuki, who had previously developed arcade games for Sega including Hang-On and Out Run, was the first manager of the department.

AM2's first game produced was 1992's Virtua Racing, followed by the highly popular Virtua Fighter and Daytona USA. Through the remainder of the 1990s, they developed more arcade titles and focused on fighting and racing games. AM2 was placed under the management of CSK Research Institute in 2000, and a year later became SEGA-AM2 Co., Ltd. Their development of Shenmue was over budget and cost millions of dollars, and despite positive reviews and good sales was unable to become profitable.

Suzuki was promoted and left AM2 in 2003; Hiroshi Kataoka became the head of AM2. A year later Sega was acquired by Sammy Corporation and AM2 was merged back into Sega. Since, the team has continued work on arcade games such as Border Break and the Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA series, as well as smartphone games in Japan. Several games produced by Sega AM2 have influenced and innovated the video game industry from a technical and developmental perspective.

Sega Enterprises, Ltd. was the company that resulted from the merger of Nihon Goraku Bussan and Rosen Enterprises. This company was acquired by Gulf+Western in 1969, put under the control of Sega Enterprises, Inc. in 1974, and then sold to CSK in 1984. It also acquired Esco Boueki. While owned by CSK, Sega Enterprises established an American subsidiary still in operation. Sega Enterprises would change its name to Sega Corporation on November 1, 2000.

Rad Mobile

Rad Mobile is a first person perspective racer and had the player engage into a non-stop road race across the USA while avoiding traffic and police cars under the time limit. The only player controlled car is a Ferrari 330 P4 type prototype racing against computer controlled opponents driving generic cars. The player would race with fifteen other rivals across the track, all attempting to prevent the player from winning. During some of the courses the player would have the opportunity to activate different controls, which include headlights for night driving and windshield wipers during rainstorms. If the player does not activate these controls when prompted, effects such as a restricted view of the road or a wet windshield will occur.
