Gremlin Collection 1

Evercade is delighted to announce another new collection for the Evercade family of systems, and another new publisher for 2022!

The Nth Dimension is coming to Evercade with Gremlin Collection 1, featuring 6 excellent 8, 16 and 32-bit games from the iconic British developer and publisher.

With the collection to be labeled number 24, this will be the second cartridge in our 2022 lineup with the release scheduled for March 2022. Pre-orders for this cartridge open on December 15th 2021 along with Renovation Collection 1 (23).

The six games we’ve chosen for this collection are a great snapshot of the near two decades that Gremlin Graphics and Gremlin Interactive developed and released games for the home console markets, including some great platform, sports, and strategy games that the company became world-renowned for.

Premier Manager: Ninety Nine

Premier Manager

Premier Manager is a football management game released for the Sega Mega Drive exclusively in Europe. It was followed by Premier Manager 97.

Premier Manager 3

Premier Manager 3 is a football management video game that puts the player in charge of a football club. The player has to manage not only the team and tactics to win football matches but also the club's finances.

Premier Manager 2003-04

Premier Manager 2003-04 is a Sports game, developed and published by Zoo Digital Publishing, which was released in Europe in 2003.

Premier Manager 09 is a Sports game, developed and published by Zoo Digital Publishing, which was released in Europe in 2008.

Premier Manager 2000

Premier Manager 2000 is a Sports game, developed by Infogrames Sheffield and published by Infogrames, which was released in Europe in 2000.

Premier Manager 98

Premier Manager 98 is a team data update of Premier Manager 97. All 92 teams from the nationwide leagues and international teams were updated for the 1997-98 season, keeping all the features from the previous title (online English league database, 3D match engine) untouched.

Although only the English league is available, it is still possible to play in pre-season friendlies or international competitions against most first division teams in Europe and South America or scout and sign their players.

There are two game modes: Manager and Pro-Manager. Manager allows the player to start in any team. Pro-Manager, on the other hand, requires the player to build his career from the Conference, promoting the club from the lower divisions or getting promoted himself to better ranked teams. It's possible to tweak options such as the level of control ("trainer" leaves the player only in control of player tactics and squad selection, "accountant" is the exact opposite, giving the player control over transfers, contracts, staff, finance, board room options and ground expansions, but no limited control over the squad, "Manager" gives control in all but contract deals and "total" gives full executive control) or if players age and eventually retire, or play forever.

In 1994, Gremlin Graphics Software was renamed as Gremlin Interactive, now concentrating on the 16-bit, PC and console market. Gremlin enjoyed major success with the Zool and Premier Manager series in the early 1990s, and then with Actua Soccer, the first football game in full 3D; other successful games included the Lotus racing series; a futuristic racing game, Motorhead; a stunt car racing game, Fatal Racing (1995); and the 1998 flight simulator Hardwar. Following EA's success with the EA Sports brand, Gremlin also released their own sports videogame series, adding Golf, Tennis and Ice Hockey to their Actua Sports series. During this time, they used a motif from the Siegfried Funeral March from Götterdämmerung as introductory music.

Dinamic Multimedia was a Spanish software house and publisher created in 1993 which was created after the bankruptcy of Dinamic Software in 1992 by some of its former members. After having released several titles, they filed for bankruptcy in September 2001.

Premier Manager 97 is the sequel to Premier Manager. It was released for the Sega Mega Drive exclusively in Europe in 1996.

The PC version is the first game not developed by Gremlin Interactive. Development was passed on to Dinamic Multimedia, who made the popular PC Fútbol series. The game was PC Fútbol 5 without arcade mode. For the first time, gave the player the option to coach a Premiership team from the start.
