Welcome to Paradise… Arizona. They’re out to get you. Or are they? It doesn’t matter. You don’t have time to think, only time to kill.

Blast, maim and fire-bomb your way through 17 unsuspecting locales, from a small town to a heavily guarded military complex. Don’t get too crazy – this killing spree is anything but senseless. Out here, strategy is key and the locals are packin’ - so take advantage of the third-person "premeditated" perspective that lets you see exactly who's cold and who's still able to pull a trigger.

Try to live a week as The Postal Dude doing everyday chores on your to-do list, such as picking up milk at the grocery store. In a world where cats can be used as assault rifle silencers, it's not surprising that a milk carton costs 5 bucks. Stealing said carton might be relatively easy in your basic corner shop, but when the shop is owned by a bunch of trigger happy jihadists, you might want to think twice about trying to leave without paying for your overpriced groceries. Little mistakes like that might just flip the switch and make you go postal.

Good or Insane? The choice is yours. Following the Apocalyptic end to the Postal Dude’s week in Paradise, we follow him and his insane pitbull Champ as they emigrate to its appropriately named sister city, Catharsis.

Postal 2: Share the Pain

An updated edition of the game, entitled Postal 2: Share the Pain, included a multiplayer mode. The Macintosh and Linux versions of Postal 2 shipped only as Postal 2: Share the Pain.

Postal 2: Apocalypse Weekend

Postal: Redux

Postal: Redux is a remake of the 1997 game Postal. It keeps the original shooting gameplay and features all original levels remastered in HD, plus a brand-new level. Updates also included the Postal: Special Delivery add-on levels, and the Tokyo and Osaka levels, which were exclusive of the Japanese release of the original game.

The game also includes a revolver, along with all the original weapons. The main objective of each level is still killing a certain number of hostile enemies to advance to the next stage. Co-op and deathmatch plays were also added. The game also has an rampage mode, in which the player must score points by killing hostiles and NPCs in a short period using different types of weapons.

Enemies, dialogues, music and sounds were remade, but they are still based on the original game. The game end was also remade and it is different from the first game.

Postal 2: Paradise Lost

Paradise Lost is a full-fledged expansion pack for Postal 2 continuing the saga of the POSTAL series. Join the Dude as he ventures back into his former hometown embarking on a quest to find his lost dog. Not all is at it seems, as the once tranquil (relatively speaking) town and its citizens have been transformed in the wake of the nuclear destruction.

Dare to enter the varied Zones as you cross the Arid Desert, trek through the dense Rainy Foliage, freeze your nuts off in the Nuclear Winter, and roam under the Ashen Skies. Meet the many mysterious factions comprised of the towering, the miniature, the zombified, and everything in between and use your radiant people skills to attempt to ally yourself with their enigmatic leaders, ranging from former child stars to terrifying demonic udder-wielding beasts! Fierce Lawmen, crazed Bandits, deranged Doomsday Survivalists, and a phallic child's toy mascot await. Do whatever it takes to survive! Wait in lines! Use vending machines! Buy toilet paper! Journey to where it all began to rescue your loyal companion!

Postal: Special Delivery

This expansion adds four new levels to the single-player campaign with new NPCs, improved net code with a rebalanced multiplayer, and Co-op for the single-player campaign.

Super Postal

Made specifically for the Japanese market, this version of POSTAL features a complete Japanese dub and two extra levels: Akihabara and Dōtonbori (more commonly known as Tokyo and Osaka to English speakers).

Running with Scissors (RWS) is an American video game developer based in Tucson, Arizona. It was founded in 1996 by Vince Desi through a business decision of Riedel Software Productions, a maker of child-friendly games.

RWS created and maintains the Postal franchise, which has often caused controversy for its use of violence. RWS' first game was Postal in 1997, which caused much controversy and a trademark lawsuit from the United States Postal Service that lasted until 2003. A potential second game, Flesh and Wire, was canceled in 1999. The company followed up Postal with Postal 2 in 2003. The third game in the series, Postal III, was co-developed by RWS and an internal team of publisher Akella, and RWS distanced itself from the game due to poor critical reception. RWS most recently worked on Postal 4: No Regerts, which was released in 2022, and the spin-off Postal: Brain Damaged.

Ripcord Games

Loki Entertainment Software, Inc. was a video game developer based in Tustin, California, United States, that ported several video games from Microsoft Windows to Linux. It took its name from the Norse deity Loki.

Although successful in its goal of bringing games to the Linux platform, the company eventually closed due to financial troubles, with it declaring Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection in August 2001 and finally being disbanded in January 2002.

A freeware Unix-like operating system, Linux has been dubbed the only true competitor to Windows and has established a solid following in the United States and abroad. Created in 1991 by Linus Torvalds, a Finnish developer, and made available for free over the Internet, Linux is continually being enhanced by thousands of volunteer developers and programmers around the globe. While most commercial operating systems go through five to seven revisions per year, Linux might see multiple revisions in a day.
