The flu season has come about, and it's Dr. Mario's duty to use his Megavitamins to heal the people of the land. However, Wario, wanting to have the fame that Dr. Mario has, attempts to steal the Megavitamins, but to no avail. Afterwards, Mad Scienstein and Rudy the Clown (from Wario Land 3) steal the Megavitamins, and both Dr. Mario and Wario give chase.

Dr. Mario

Dr. Mario es un videojuego de bloques que caen, en el que Mario asume el papel de un médico, dejando caer cápsulas médicas de dos colores en un frasco de medicina que representa el tablero de juego. Esta área está poblada por virus de tres colores: rojo, amarillo y azul. De manera similar a Tetris, el jugador manipula cada cápsula mientras cae, moviéndola hacia la izquierda o la derecha y rotándola para colocarla junto a los virus y las cápsulas ya existentes. Cuando cuatro o más mitades de cápsula o virus del mismo color se alinean en configuraciones verticales u horizontales, se eliminan del juego. El objetivo principal es completar los niveles, lo cual se logra eliminando todos los virus del tablero. Se acaba la partida si las cápsulas llenan el tablero de juego de forma que obstruyan el cuello estrecho del frasco.

Dr. Mario Online Rx

The all-time puzzle classic returns for the Wii generation, featuring online gameplay and a new Germ Buster mode! Destroy all the viruses trapped in the bottle by dropping and slotting capsules to create lines of matching colours. The more viruses you clear, the faster the capsules drop.

In Dr. Mario, challenge the computer in 1 Player mode, go head-to-head with a friend in 2 Player mode, or prove your skills against the world via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. You can also send a demo version of the game to a friend (within your region) using WiiConnect24.

In Germ Buster (based on the relaxation game in More Brain Training from Dr Kawashima), up to four players can use their Wii Remotes to grab, spin and slot capsules as your Miis try to keep the nasty bugs at bay. Who thought that catching germs could be so much fun?

Dr. Mario & Puzzle League

Dr. Mario/Puzzle League are recreations of two of Nintendo's most popular puzzle creations. Though Dr. Mario has already been released on the GBA as a Classic NES Series title, the version included in the dual-pack is enhanced specifically for the Game Boy Advance hardware instead of a straight emulation of the original NES title. Puzzle League was originally brought to life as Tetris Attack, but then rebranded on the Game Boy Color as Pokemon Puzzle Challenge a few years back. The GBA version is also enhanced for the GBA's much more capable graphics hardware and was previously an unlockable game via the GameCube - Game Boy Advance Link Cable in Nintendo Puzzle Collection for the GameCube.

Dr. Mario BS Ban

Dr. Mario BS Ban is a Downloadable game for the Satellaview that was broadcast in at least 9 runs between March 30, 1997 and April 2, 2000. Early game broadcasts were accompanied by the Dr. Mario BS Ban: Seiseki Magazine (「Ｄｒ．マリオＢＳ版 成績マガジン」), however these ceased after April 26, 1997.

Super Mario Land

Super Mario Land is the first Mario's outing on the Game Boy. It is a side-scrolling platformer much in the vein of the previous Super Mario Bros. This time, Mario must save Princess Daisy, rather than Princess Toadstool, from her kidnapper Tatanga, a mysterious spaceman. The game follows largely the same formula of its aforementioned predecessor, with Mario defeating enemies by jumping on them and collecting coins and power ups by hitting floating blocks, with each world leading up to a boss fight which is defeated using by collapsing the floor. A unique feature of this installment is two scrolling shoot-'em-up levels, the first of which Mario pilots a submarine, and the second an aeroplane.

Super Mario World

A 2D platformer and first entry on the SNES in the Super Mario franchise, Super Mario World follows Mario as he attempts to defeat Bowser's underlings and rescue Princess Peach from his clutches. The game features a save system, a less linear world map, an expanded movement arsenal and numerous new items for Mario, alongside new approaches to level design and art direction.

Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins

Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins is a platforming game for the Game Boy and the sequel to Super Mario Land. It also marks the debut of Mario's self-proclaimed arch rival Wario, who would later become a recurring character in the Mario series as well as a protagonist in his own series. The game features new graphics, power-ups, challenges, and a completely original storyline.

Dr. Mario was remastered for the Super Famicom and released as a stand-alone Nintendo Power service release, only in Japan, and also for the Nintendo Gateway System. The game also received a Satellaview broadcast.

The same version was previously bundled with Tetris and released in the West as Tetris & Dr. Mario.
