Dig Dug

Dig Dug is a 1-2 player arcade game in which you have to use your shovel to dig your way through the earth. Stopping you from doing this are two monsters, called Pooka and Fygar, who will continually chase you around. The only weapon that you carry is an air pump, which you can use to inflate the monsters to the point where they explode. (if you start to inflate them but stop doing so, the monsters will get turned back to their normal selves). Furthermore, rocks are scattered throughout the earth, and you can use these rocks to squash them. If the monsters do not find you for several seconds, they will eventually get turned into ghosts, which are able to walk through the earth. They are invincible and cannot be killed. From time to time, vegetables will appear in the center, and you can get these for points.

Dig Dug II: Trouble in Paradise

DIG DUG has decided to chill out from the pressures of the real world by taking a long overdue vacation on a beautiful Caribbean island. "At last," he thinks to himself, "sun, sand, surf, and no more hassles from those miserable pests Pooka and Fygar!" Lying in a hammock between the graceful palm trees, he drifts off into a blissful dream of beautiful bikini clad native girls catering to his every wish. But just when he thinks he's got it made in the shade, along come his troublesome enemies to turn his peaceful paradise into a tropical nightmare. Help DIG DUG rid the island of these irritating intruders and bring tranquility back to his vacation by the sea!

Mr. Driller

Mr. Driller is an arcade puzzle game developed by Namco and first released in 1999.
Players control a driller who descends through layers of colored blocks, clearing paths while managing a limited air supply. Blocks disappear when four or more of the same color are connected, creating strategic challenges as the screen scrolls upward. The game emphasizes quick decision-making and careful planning under time pressure. It became known for its simple mechanics, increasing difficulty, and bright visual style.

Dig Dug: Digging Strike

This 3D adventure combines the classic arcade digging action with new baddies, environments, weapons, mini-games and strategies to deliver the most action-packed Dig Dug game to date. Whether tackling the underground alone or wirelessly with a friend, gamers discover 15 stages with more than 80 areas in Dig Dug Digging Strike. Players explore 3D environments on the top screen of the DS, then plunge underground on the bottom screen to dig and connect fault lines that will trap monsters. Only by sinking enemy bosses do players move to the next level - and they encounter some familiar faces along the way. The dreaded Pooka and Fygar are back to threaten Dig Dug, along with a host of never-before-seen bosses. Dig Dug is armed with a series of thrilling weapons to combat monsters as well as elements from the environment including rolling rocks, quicksand and flowing lava.

Dig Dug Arrangement

Dig Dug Arrangement is, as the name suggests, a remake of Namco's 1982 arcade game Dig Dug; it was released in 1996, as a part of the compilation arcade game, Namco Classics Collection Vol. 2, and later rereleased alongside the original and ten others in the Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox versions of Namco Museum in 2002.

The original Atari, Inc., founded in Sunnyvale, California, in 1972 by Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney, was a pioneer in arcade games, home video game consoles, and home computers. The company's products, such as Pong and the Atari 2600, helped define the electronic entertainment industry from the 1970s to the mid-1980s.

Negotiating until close to midnight on July 1, 1984, Jack Tramiel purchased the home computing and game console divisions of Atari for $240 million in promissory notes and stocks. Warner gained a 20% stake in Tramel Technologies, which was renamed Atari Corporation. Warner retained the arcade division, continuing it under the name Atari Games, but sold it to Namco in 1985. Warner also sold the Ataritel division to Mitsubishi.
