Sega Genesis Classics: Series 1

The first in a series of compilation video games released by Sega for the PC. It features ten Sega video games that were originally released for the Sega Genesis / Sega Mega Drive.

The collection has over 50 retro classics to experience across every genre; arcade action, shooters, beat’em ups, puzzlers, old favourites and hidden gems, with a raft of modern features. These include online multiplayer, achievements, mirror modes, rewind and save states meaning players old and new should find revisiting these great games an absolute Sonic 3D Blast.

Arcade Portable

The Arcade Portable is a handheld Sega Mega Drive console on a chip manufactured by AtGames. It was the second handheld to be produced by AtGames, following the Arcade Gamer Portable, and was bettered by the Arcade Ultimate.

Like many of AtGames' products, the true name for this handheld is not known. AtGames' website calls it the Arcade Portable, but the device was renamed by various distributors. Packaging calls it the Mega Drive Portable Video Game Player. The system was manufactured by AtGames who distributed across Asia. Blaze Europe distributed across Europe and Tectoy brought it to Brazil as the Mega Drive Portátil.

The Blaze Entertainment version of the Arcade Portable handheld, manufactured by AtGames. In this version, Sonic Spinball was added in place of Ristar.

Arcade Ultimate

The Arcade Ultimate is a handheld Sega Mega Drive console on a chip created by AtGames. It can be seen as an enhanced version of the Arcade Portable.

Like its predecessors, the name of this product is disputed and varies considerably between regions and distributors. While AtGames call it the Arcade Ultimate on their website, most packaging designs call the system the Gopher, with Sega Mega Drive Arcade Ultimate Portable, Sega Genesis Ultimate Portable Game Player, Sega Genesis Firecore Portable Player, and Sega Mega Drive Firecore Portable Player also in use. In Brazil the system is known as the MD Play.

The 80 Games version only includes 40 Mega Drive/Genesis games, however it also has 40 AtGames developed games to bring the total up to the stated 80.

The Blaze version changes Ristar for Sonic the Hedgehog: Spinball.

Camega

The Camega is a handheld device released by H&B. It is a media player, digital camera and handheld video game console, with 15 built-in Sega Mega Drive games.

GenMobile

The GenMobile is a handheld "console on a chip" manufactured by AtGames and distributed by Hyperkin. It was officially licensed by Sega. Like the Sega Nomad and the Retro Gen, it can play Sega Genesis and Sega Mega Drive cartridges. Unlike both consoles, it features 20 built-in games. It has a built-in 2.4 inch LCD screen but can also be connected to a TV set. It is compatible with cartridges of all regions and ships with a built-in rechargeable battery pack. Its design resembles that of a PlayStation Portable and comes in black and blue.

Arcade Master

The Arcade Master is a console on a chip manufactured by AtGames. It is a console built into an arcade stick, with a directional stick, six face buttons and 26 built-in Sega Mega Drive games. It has no cartridge slot, but can run games via SD cards.

Reactor

The Reactor, is an officially licensed Sega Mega Drive console released by AtGames. It contains 20 Sega Mega Drive games and a further 30 "bonus" games.

Mega Drive 4

Second version of Mega Drive 4, which adds new games (going from 87 games to 100) and new songs to the game Guitar Idol.

The game Pense Bem is said to count as 10 games in the general counting.

Arcade Motion Classic

The Arcade Motion Classic, known often as the Super Arcade is a console on a chip manufactured by AtGames. It is almost identical to the AtGames Mega Drive Video Game Console in design meaning it can run Sega Mega Drive cartridges, but has a white plastic shell, 40-built in games and claimed support for motion controlled games, similar to the Wii.

Out of the 40 built-in games, 15 are Mega Drive games from Sega, 7 are motion-sensing sports games and 18 are "bonus arcade games". The console ships with two wireless controllers (which require 2x AAA batteries each) with a number of attachable accessories.

Sega Astro City Mini

The Astro City Mini is a functional miniature version of the full-sized arcade cabinet that goes by the same name, and it includes 37 playable games.

The Mini features a built-in LCD screen, but if you’re interested in the bigger picture, it also includes an HDMI-out port, a headphone jack, and two USB-A ports.

The group was acquired by Eidos Interactive in April 1996, discontinuing th U.S Gold brand.

Tec Toy (later renamed Tectoy and TecToy), also known as Tec Toy Indústria de Brinquedos SA, is a Brazilian electronics and video game company, and Sega’s official distributor in that region. The company has seen overwhelming success with sales of the Sega Master System, and its work established the 8-bit platform as a cultural staple across much of South America.

It underwent a rebranding process in 2007, becoming Tectoy.

Sega Enterprises, Ltd. was the company that resulted from the merger of Nihon Goraku Bussan and Rosen Enterprises. This company was acquired by Gulf+Western in 1969, put under the control of Sega Enterprises, Inc. in 1974, and then sold to CSK in 1984. It also acquired Esco Boueki. While owned by CSK, Sega Enterprises established an American subsidiary still in operation. Sega Enterprises would change its name to Sega Corporation on November 1, 2000.

Sega Corporation was the legal successor to Sega Enterprises which came into being on 1st November, 2000. It was then when the company established the system of having ten different subsidiaries each with their own brand. These were WOW Entertainment, Sega AM2, Hitmaker, Amusement Vision, Sega Rosso, Smilebit, Overworks, Sonic Team, United Game Artists and Wave Master. Sega Corporation then took care of production and marketing work. This structure was disbanded in July of 2004.

In the 1st of April 2015, it was split into Sega Games and Sega Interactive.
