Captain Blood

Five clones scattered throughout the galaxy, draining your life force. You must find and assimilate them before the ship's auto-bionic functions take over completely... and render you inhuman.

Death-defying flights through hyperspace and dangerous terrain lead to strange worlds with alien inhabitants: Migrax, Croolis-Ulv, and the beautiful and beguiling Torka. They have the information you need to find and destroy your clones- if you're clever enough to get it.

Commander Blood

Bob Morlock is an interstellar businessman who also happens to be the oldest living being in the world. Feeling that his time to depart has finally come, Morlock wishes to go back in time to the very beginning, in order to witness the Big Bang and the creation of the universe. His company Kanary has a clone-constructing department, which promptly produces the fearless Clone Consortium Commander Blood, who must navigate his ultra-modern ship, the Ark, in order to fulfill the wishes of the eccentric boss.

Commander Blood is a follow-up to Captain Blood. Like its predecessor, it is an open-ended, space- (and time-) travelling adventure game that relies on complex communication system with the various creatures inhabiting the universe. The game utilizes pre-rendered scenes and animated sequences, as well as animation technique involving live action puppeteering in front of a chroma key screen.

Big Bug Bang, the sequel to Commander Blood, was released in 1996, and was available in French, German and English.

Cryo Interactive Entertainment was a French game development and publishing company based in Paris, France. Founded in 1990, but existing unofficially since 1989 as a developer group under the name Cryo, the company was known for adventure games based on book licenses or historical themes.

The company was dissolved in 2002, and French publisher has since Microids ended up in possession of its brands and intellectual properties.

Mindscape was originally formed in October 1983 in Illinois by Roger Buoy. Through a number of acquisitions and popular games, the company quickly became a powerhouse in the game industry. In 1990, it was acquired by The Software Toolworks, who wanted to utilize the company's relationship with Nintendo and used it as a label for publishing games for Nintendo consoles. In 1994, Toolworks was acquired by Pearson, adopting the Mindscape name in the process. In 1998, it was acquired again by The Learning Company, which would later be acquired by Mattel, who occasionally used the Mindscape name for some games, before being purchased by Jean-Pierre Nordman and being relocated to France.

Following the poor performance of its products, Mindscape exited the video game industry in August 2011. However, its Australian and Dutch divisions were unaffected by the shutdown, and remain in operation independent of its former parent.
