Panic Bomber is a dropping-piece puzzle game in the Bomberman series.

Bomberman: Panic Bomber

It is a "falling blocks" puzzle game based on the Bomberman franchise. The goal of the game is essentially to cause your opponent to lose by causing their gameplay field to fill to the top with objects. You do this by causing chains of bombs to explode, sending useless rubble over to your opponent's field, which they must then remove themselves. Bombs are earned by causing chains of three identical blocks to disappear. Bombs can only be blown up with an explosion from a lit bomb, which falls from the top of the screen every so often. If the player causes enough damage, they can eventually earn a giant bomb, which will remove a large amount of debris from the playing field, and cause their opponent a good deal of trouble.

The game's regular story mode revolves around Bomberman's hunt for the Golden Bomber statue. During his trek, he fights against several different odd characters, like Drifty the balloon, or Cecil the tiger. However, all that can really be earned from playing through this mode is a harder difficulty level, earned by finishing the entire story at the "hard" difficulty level.

Super Bomberman: Panic Bomber W

Super Bomberman: Panic Bomber W is one of the offsprings of the Panic Bomber Series. A tile matching puzzle game that plays like a mix between Bomberman and Puyo Puyo.

Tiles fall from the top of the screen, when three are matched bombs are dropped. Occasionally one of the dropped bombs will be lit, which will explode and cause a chain reaction with any bombs already present. Game over happens when the screen is filled with blocks or bombs.

It was released for the Super Famicom and was only released in Japan. It features a single player mode and a multiplayer one that supports up to four players.
This game also implements a Dokuro mode which involves status effects. These can do everything from reduce blast radius to igniting bombs on screen.

Bomberman is a robot engaged in the production of bombs. Like his fellow robots, he had been put to work in an underground compound by evil forces. Bomberman found it to be an unbearably dreary existence. One day, he heard an encouraging rumor. According to the rumor, any robot that could escape the underground compound and make it to the surface could become human. Bomberman leaped at the opportunity, but escape proved to be no small task. Alerted to Bomberman's betrayal, large numbers of the enemy set out in pursuit. Bomberman can rely only on bombs of his own production for his defense. Will he ever make it up to the surface? Once there, will he really become human?

Bomberman is a 1990 action maze video game developed by Hudson Soft for the TurboGrafx-16. Belonging to the Bomberman franchise, it is a greatly expanded re-imagining of the first game in the series.
In Europe, the game was released for the MS-DOS, Amiga and Atari ST, retitled as Dyna Blaster due to the European mainstream media associating the original title with terrorist bombings. A Commodore 64 version was advertised as well but never released.

Bomberman II

Bomberman II follows the popular Famicom/NES game Bomberman, incorporating a number of new features to the series. The game maintained the classic Bomberman game-type, requiring the player to navigate a maze of blocks using bombs to make a path. It added a two-player and three-player mode, and had a more developed storyline. The game was developed by Hudson Soft and released on the Family Computer and the NES. It was marketed as Dynablaster in Europe.

Bomberman '94 is a video game from the Bomberman series which was developed and published by Hudson Soft for the PC Engine and released on December 10, 1993 in Japan. It was later re-developed by Westone and re-published by Sega as Mega Bomberman on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis in 1994 in other areas. The PC Engine Bomberman '94 was later released outside Japan through the Wii's Virtual Console and the PlayStation 3's PlayStation Network.

The game supports single-player and multi-player modes. In single player, the player navigates several levels of mazes, destroying creatures with bombs. In multi-player mode, players defeat each other with bombs.

Bomberman '94 is the final HuCard title to be made and released by Hudson Soft, the original designers of the PC Engine console.

Super Bomberman is the first video game in the Bomberman series to appear on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It is also the first four-player game to be released on the Super NES.

Hudson Soft Co., Ltd. was a Japanese video game company known for releasing numerous titles across video game consoles, home computers, and mobile phones. Headquartered in the Midtown Tower in Tokyo, it also maintained an office in the Hudson Building in Sapporo. Founded on May 18, 1973, Hudson initially focused on personal computer products before expanding into video game development, publishing, peripherals, and music production.

Hudson Soft became a publicly traded company in 2000. In 2005, Konami acquired a 55% controlling stake in Hudson, later purchasing the company outright on April 1, 2011. On March 1, 2012, Hudson merged with Konami Digital Entertainment, which retains its game catalog and periodically re-releases Hudson's classic titles.

Eighting Co., Ltd., stylized as 8ing, is a Japanese video game developer and publisher. It was formerly known as Raizing. It is known for its shoot 'em ups and its licensed fighting games.

Raizing and Eighting were formed in part by former staff of Compile, to create arcade games. The development was done by Raizing, while sales and distribution were done by Eighting. Their first game, Mahou Daisakusen/Sorcer Striker was released in 1993. After the arcade developer Toaplan closed their doors, some of their staff went to Raizing, while others began the offshoot companies Cave, Takumi, and Gazelle, all of which were noted for their strong support of the shoot 'em up genre, and the "danmaku" (or "manic") subgenre in particular. Raizing continued to use arcade hardware based on Toaplan's units for years after Toaplan's bankruptcy.

The company featured a handful of former Compile employees, mainly those who worked on Musha Aleste, including Yuichi Toyama (a.k.a. "Healthy"), Kazuyuki Nakashima, and Kenichi Yokoo. The company also included the famous shooting game developer Shinobu Yagawa who was the designer and programmer for Battle Garegga, Armed Police Batrider, and Battle Bakraid while at Raizing, and is now employed by Cave.

In October 2000, the Raizing division was incorporated into Eighting, and since then, no shoot'em up games were produced. The company since then concentrated its video game business to home consoles and mobile/social gaming.

Raizing was founded in 1993, being one of the companies which emerged from Toaplan upon its bankruptcy (alongside Cave, Takumi and Gazelle), being formed by former staff of both Toaplan and Compile. The company was well known for its many shoot 'em up titles, with some of its staff including famous shmup designer Shinobu Yagawa, as well as the Basiscape music composer team formed by Manabu Namiki, Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masaharu Iwata.

Raizing worked closely together with Eighting, working on the games' production and development while Eighting worked on sales and distribution. Raizing was eventually merged into Eighting in 2000.
